* The Airports Authority of Jamaica is issuing an invitation for bids
regarding its Year 2000 Remediation Program for the Norman Manley
International Airport, Kingston Jamaica for the Procurement of a Flight
Information Display System. The Airports Authority of Jamaica (AAJ) will
tender for all components of the FIDS Project on behalf of the GOJ's Year
2000 Project Office. The GOJ Year 2000 Project Office (hereinafter called
"the Purchaser") now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the
supply, installation and commissioning of a Flight Information Display
System at the Norman Manley International Airport. Interested eligible
bidders may obtain further information from the address below from
Wednesday, 2000 August 16 to Wednesday, 2000 August 30 during the hours of
9:00am to 4:00pm (Jamaican time). A complete set of bidding documents in
English may be purchased as of 2000 August 16 at a non-refundable fee of
$US100 (which does not cover the cost of the delivery). Payment should be in
the form of a certified cheque or bank draft made payable to the Airports
