FAR 107 Paperwork Reduction Survey
AAAE Regulatory Affairs
Every three years the FAA is required to review and approve paperwork
burdens on the industry for regulations. This review is to ensure that the
administrative burdens of the regulation are kept in alignment with
realistic expectations outlined in proposed rules.
The FAA has chosen to wait until the new Part 107 requirements were
finalized before issuing the survey. The survey has two components. The
first is general airport information while the second component wants to
gather the administrative burden in estimated man-hours of each
administrative requirement in Part 107.
The survey can be downloaded at http://www.airportnet.org/regulatory/new.htm
from AAAE's Regulatory Affairs website. This is an excellent opportunity to
provide the FAA with feedback about the impact of these regulations on the
day-to-day operation of the airport. The more responses the FAA receives the
better the quality of the survey data.
