Senate Invokes Cloture on Transportation Appropriations Bill

The Senate has just invoked cloture on the FY02 DOT Appropriations bill.
The good news is that they have invoked cloture on the bill, which should
allow for its eventual completion. The bad news is that Senator McCain is
currently speaking on the floor, and has indicated that he and Senator Phil
Gramm (R-TX) will continue to use all procedural tools at their disposal to
continue the debate over the issue of Mexican trucks.
