Airport Safety and Operations Specialist


ARA's Mid-Atlantic Division (Elkridge, Maryland) is seeking highly motivated candidates interested in conducting research and contributing to varied airport safety and risk analysis projects. Should have interest or expertise in airport operations and aviation safety management systems.

Candidates must be familiar with FAA regulations, particularly FAR Part 139, and have at least 2 years of experience with airport operations, safety procedures, and airside activities. Familiarity with safety management systems and standards (such as 18001, 9000, 14000) a plus.

Candidates must have outstanding communication skills (both oral and written), willingness and desire to be a team player, and be self-starters who can work under minimal supervision. Some travel is required. A bachelor’s degree in aviation management or related field is required (master's preferred).
