Under administrative direction, the Associate
Deputy Director, Aviation Management is responsible for the management and
oversight of a property portfolio with 150 tenant airlines, aviation support
companies, government agencies and rental car companies. The essential functions
of this job include: managing and overseeing off-airport properties at five
locations which includes lease negotiations, landlord relations and property
management; managing and overseeing the Facility Planning and Program
Development function which includes facility planning, and program development
of tenant spaces into facility design and leasing support; managing the Airport
Space Request System; providing leadership and direction to aviation and land
use business development opportunities for the Airport; managing consolidated
Rental Car Center which includes providing direction and oversight to the
on-site manager responsible for daily operations, operating policies, and
property management; negotiating in conjunction with the Department of Real
Estate, for the acquisition of property for aviation use; negotiating and
managing all leases, right-of-way agreements and permits at Airport properties
and facilities; planning and implementing aviation programs; routinely advising
and making policy recommendations to the Airport Director on business terms,
development opportunities and strategic planning in support of Airport
operations related to airlines, aviation support and revenue generation; and
performing other duties as assigned by the Director and other Senior
staff.
Note: The normal annual salary range is $96,148 to $128,804.
Appointments above the maximum of the normal range $96,148 to $128,804 may be
considered based on documented and substantiated recruitment and retention
issues or exceptional skills. A special approval process is necessary for
appointment above the normal salary range.
In addition to competitive

Minimum
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or
related field from an accredited college or university; and
2. Ten (10)
years of airline operations management or airline property management or a
combination thereof, including five (5) years of experience in constructing
business transactions with a legal, contractual relationship between the
parties.
