Eligible registers for those positions will be abolished and new
registers established as a result of these examinations.

Salary Range:     $50,000 - $85,000

immediately.  Vacancies within the Airport Authority are filled from
eligibility lists established by competitive examinations.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, supervises the general
accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and grant
accounting activities of the Finance Department; works in accordance
with general and specific directives exercising prudent judgment.

Essential Job Functions:

Reviews monthly general ledger reports with the objective of fairly and
accurately stating the financial results of the Authority in accordance
with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as defined by
Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).  Prepares various tax
and non-tax governmental filings.  Reviews quarterly Passenger Facility
Charge (PFC) reports to airlines and the Federal Aviation
Administration.  Coordinates year-end audit by an independent audit
firm.  Monitors the organization's systems of internal controls and
recommends policy and procedure enhancements.  Prepares cash forecast
and reviews investment portfolio.

Supplemental Job Functions:

Performs related work as required.

JOB STANDARDS

September 2002

Education and Knowledge:
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business administration.  CPA
accreditation required.

Work Experience:
A minimum of five years of public or private accounting experience is
required. Must be familiar with Windows based accounting applications.
Epicor systems experience a plus.

Mental Skills:
Must have the ability to manage and motivate people with positive
results.

Manual Skills:
Skilled in the use of office equipment, including calculators and
personal computers.  Windows experience required.

Physical Effort:
Usually seated at desk or table.

Working Conditions:
Good.

Safety of Others:
None.

Public Relations:
Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external
working relationships.

Supervisory Skills:
Ability to effectively plan and supervise the implementation of systems
and reporting projects as well as other special projects.  Must have the
ability to motivate others with positive results.
