Manager, Minority Affairs

Under the general direction of the President and CEO, is responsible for the
administration of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and the Small,
Minority, Women owned Business Enterprise (SMWBE) programs for the
Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA).

Serves as liaison between the Authority, DBE/SMWBE entities, and various
governmental, community, and business organizations involved in minority
issues.  Assists in disseminating information on available business
opportunities; and locates, solicits and promotes DBE/SMWBE firms as
business resources.  Actively participates in all aspects of the bid process
to ensure DBE/SMWBE compliance. Targets and recruits DBE/SMWBE’s currently
not certified.  Validates and or certifies DBE/SMWBE individuals and
companies.  Prepares and maintains accurate records and statistical data to
substantiate the Authority’s DBE/SMWBE efforts and accomplishments.

Graduation from college in a field of administration, management, business,
or finance; knowledge of local, state and federal laws related to DBE
programs; and four years work experience, preferably in a connection with
the development of small and small disadvantaged business programs required.
Experience in contracting or legal environment preferred.

Renewable annual contract: $49,925 to $74,710
