Norman Y. Mineta SJC seeks an Airport Operations Supervisor responsible
for supervising specific Airport operations involving Airside,
Landside, and/or Security/Communications activities of the Airport.
The responsibilities may include Air Carrier and General Aviation
operations, public parking, Airport shuttle, ground transportation
services, parking and traffic control, Airport I.D. badging,
communications services functions and other related work as required.

Required Education: 4 Year Degree.
Requirements: Two years experience in airport, airline, fixed base, or
military airbase operations at a level equivalent to an Airport
Operations Specialist. Knowledge of principles and practices of
supervision, Federal, State, and local rules and regulations pertaining
to airport operations and airport certification requirements. Ability
to plan and supervise the work of others, to understand complex
governmental regulations, to relate effectively with various
organizations (i.e. Federal agency employees, air carrier employees,
private aircraft operators, fellow employees and the air traveling
public). Ability to express oneself clearly, concisely and effectively,
both orally and in writing.
