The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) is seeking a dynamic and energetic
airport administrator to provide high-level executive management, leadership
and vision to a staff of 300. A national search effort is underway to
attract quality candidates to this outstanding career opportunity as a
result of the pending retirement of current President/CEO, Mr. Walter Burg.
TAA wishes to attract senior airport executives with a proven record of
success and the desire to lead a world-class organization. The ideal
candidate will be an experienced senior airport executive, with a proven
record of accomplishment in managing a growing airport enterprise including
knowledge of Federal, State, FAA and applicable laws and regulations
governing airports. Candidates should have broad background in airport
finance, operations and development, and be knowledgeable about contemporary
“best practices” in the airport industry. Strengths as a negotiator and
consensus-builder are essential for success. A Bachelor’s degree with
emphasis in airport management, public administration, business
administration, engineering, law, or a related field is required. A minimum of 
ten (10) years stable progressive airport management experience is preferred.
