Security Devices for GA Aircraft

Peter, another great contact is Steven Calabro with TSA. Steven had been an
airport manager and is now the TSA, GA Guru. He told me TSA now has a
"buffet" of options for GA airports. In addition he will be a speaker at the
Arizona Airports Meeting in April. He indicated he will have a sample GA
security plan. His number is 571 227 2264.

>
>Does anyone have any experience with this problem:
>A client airport is under intense pressure from the FBI and local LEOs
>to require the use of wheel locks, lockable wheel chocks, or similar
>devices to prevent the theft of general aviation aircraft. (The airport
>is located within a few minutes flying distance of many high visibility
>and highly vulnerable targets.) Naturally, the users are
>less-than-enthusiastic about the potential. Does anyone have any
>experience with requiring physical locking devices on aircraft and
>getting FBO cooperation?
>
>Thanks.
