Man charged with stealing gas from airport pump
The Associated Press
SAN JOSE, Calif.-Authorities are investigating how a man got through the
locked gates at Reid-Hillview Airport in East San Jose and filled up at the
gas pumps.
Police say 20-year-old Justin Rodebush was not authorized to use the pumps
or its 40-foot hose.
He was arrested Sunday on suspicion of drunken driving and attempted theft.
The gas isn't cheap at $5.97 a gallon and is only accessed by a credit card.
It's also made for planes.
But airport officials say people sometimes think that because the gas is
racing fuel, it'll make their car run faster.
