What Has Terrorism Done To General Aviation?
Hear a firsthand report from Washington, D.C. about the effect of
terrorism on the aviation community.
WHAT: The Aero Club of Southern California, featuring keynote speaker Drew Steketee, (president, Be-A-Pilot Association) presents a program on the impact of the recent terrorism attacks on General Aviation. This presentation will provide insight from Washington D.C. on current FAA procedures, including new regulations and security measures being debated and enforced nationwide. Headquartered in Washington D.C., Be-A-Pilot is an organization supported by 63 aviation manufacturers, businesses, organizations and publications. The organization is under the guidance of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). Steketee, who is a licensed commercial, multi-engine and instrument-rated pilot with nearly 3,000 hours logged since the mid-1960s, has spent most of his time demonstrating General Aviation flying to media and the public.
