CONFERENCE ON GA REVOLUTION SET FOR JUNE 14-16 AT OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY

CORVALLIS, Oregon — Oregon State University will host a three day conference
on changes in general aviation. The conference is scheduled for June 14-16
in Corvallis.
Ed Bolen, president and CEO of the General Aviation Manufacturers
Association, and Cliff Stroud, director of communications at the National
Air Transportation Association, will serve as guest speakers.
The conference is expected to attract large numbers of people who need to
learn about the changes that are underway in general aviation. Typical
attendees will include city and airport managers, elected officials,
corporate executives, aviation entrepreneurs, land-use planners and pilots.
The meeting will focus on new developments in aircraft design and
manufacturing; airport and heliport infrastructure needs, including design
and maintenance; and economic development opportunities and factors such as
land use and zoning.
Presenters will come from the ranks of economic development and educational
specialists, the aviation industry, airport specialists, the FAA and NASA,
and local government.
The conference will be held at LaSells Stewart Center on the Oregon State
campus. It’s sponsored by the Oregon Department of Aviation, the OSU
Transportation Research Institute, and Oregon Space Grant.
