Airport Improvement projects approved for Nebraska
GA News

LINCOLN, Nebraska — The Nebraska Aeronautics Commission has approved $1.2
million in airport grants for the coming year. The money will pay for
projects at 18 of Nebraska’s public use airports. The commission also
approved a grant to update the State Airport System Plan.

Applications for these grants are submitted by July 1, for the following
year. Approved projects are paid for with a combination of federal, state,
and local funds. Each airport has also secured a commitment of local funds
and has requested funds from the FAA. Nebraska’s aviation fuel tax provides
the state’s share of the funding for these projects. The projects approved
