South Okanagan residents dressed in blue and green and danced before
the cameras as part of a weekend bid to lure WestJet to the region.
Early last month, the company announced it would launch a low fare, no frills regional airline in smaller domestic markets.
Hoping to attract WestJet to Penticton, community leaders organized the video shoot, which took place on an airport apron.
Coun. Garry Litke says the community wants to impress WestJet's corporate leaders.
Mayor Dan Ashton says 80,000 people live in the region, meaning there are business opportunities available to the company.
Organizers plan to edit down the footage to a two-minute promotional video, which will be sent to the company.
