Man dodges Toronto airport security
The Canadian Press

TORONTO -- Police are investigating how a man managed to dodge security and
run onto a plane at Toronto's Pearson International Airport.

TOO FAST TO CATCH

Peel Regional Police Const. Wayne Patterson says security couldn't catch the
20-year-old man as he ran through a checkpoint at Pearson's Terminal 1 at
about 9:20 a.m. yesterday.

Patterson says security staff quickly gave chase, but the man "was at a full
gallop" and managed to outrun them.

The suspect then ran onto an Air Canada Jazz plane, where he was confronted
by the aircraft's pilot and held until security guards arrived.

Police aren't yet sure if the unidentified man had a ticket or if he had
recently stepped off a plane in the arrivals section.

Police say the man will likely face a criminal charge of mischief.
