Aviation Personnel Invited to Attend Operational Risk Management Seminar
Register to attend the AviaEd ORM Training being held December 14, 2007
(Tucson, AZ) AviaEd will conduct a one-day Safety Management Systems primer course at the ORM Seminar in Dallas on December 14, 2007. The class will be held 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m at the Dallas Fort Worth

This class will prepare airports and aviation personnel to develop a risk-based approach to Safety Management. The interactive training will cover the basic tenets of the newly-issued FAA Advisory Circular on Safety Management Systems. Discussion will provide an understanding of how airport safety and operational issues affect the ability to manage risks. The course will provide insight into ways to update and improve current programs. Students will learn a six-step process and be able understand tools within each step for implementing ORM at their facility. Discussion will incorporate activities and case study experiences.
The course will be instructed by Scott Simpson who has led safety audit teams, as well as mentored and instructed safety professionals for over 15 years. Most recently, Mr. Simpson instructed the SMS Program in South Africa and Dubai. He conducted three airport safety courses for Airports Council International (ACI) to enhance employee understanding of airport operations, safety management systems, and emergency operations and planning. Mr. Simpson holds a Safety Management Certificate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Please note that AviaEd will be offering this Operational Risk management Seminar in the Dallas Fort Worth area again March 17th, 2008 and Milwaukee, WI on June 1st, 2008.
