Airport Re-opens after Suspicious Package Scare
KTHV Ch 11 (CBS), Little Rock (AR)

Some tense moments happened Friday when Little Rock National Airport had its
largest evacuation ever.

Little Rock police, fire department and the bomb squad were called to
airport to investigate a suspicious package.

A TSA spokesperson says that a baggage screener saw a suspicious item and
the airport was evacuated. After about 25 minutes, they determined that the
item was not a threat after all. It turned out to be a USA Today reporter's
camera equipment. The bomb squad says camera batteries and wires tipped off
the machine.

One passenger who arrived at the airport describes the scene.

"We had gotten off our flight and we got most of our baggage. They told
everyone to evacuate the airport. We talked to a policeman and he said it
was suspicious package, so basically we hung outside for awhile," says Brook
Floyd.

No flights were disrupted. Things are now back to normal at the airport.
