'Security issue' at Sky Harbor
By Sherry Gannon
KPNX-TV Ch 12 (NBC), Phoenix (AZ)

Some flights delayed this morning at Sky Harbor due to rescreening

Travelers at Sky Harbor Airport had some difficulty getting on their way
this morning. Passengers in Terminal 2 were sent through security screening
again.

Shortly after 4:30am TSA workers saw a bag they felt needed to be
re-screened. TSA representatives tried to find the bag’s owner, but could
not locate that person. At that point the decision was made to close the
concourse at Terminal 2 and re-screen about 75 people who were already in
the terminal and about 150 boarding a Continental flight.

The Continental flight was delayed about 1 ½ hours. Some other flights
experienced slight delays.
