Miami Airport bomb threat leads to arrest
The Miami (FL) Herald

A 20-year-old Hialeah man was arrested after Miami International Airport
received bomb threats, Miami-Dade police reported Wednesday.

Ray Gonzalez was charged with making a bomb threat, which is a felony.

He was arrested on Tuesday after Miami-Dade investigators traced the calls
to his cell phone. He apparently made the bomb threats in several phone
calls to federal Transportation Security Administration officials, who, in
turn, notified law enforcement authorities.

Also joining Miami-Dade police in its investigation were the FBI and
Transportation Security Administration officials. Similar charges were filed
against Gonzalez in October 2006 in Broward County, state records show.

The bomb threats come as local airports stepped up security during the
Fourth of July travel week, following terror incidents in London and
Scotland.

On Monday, a 13-year-old boy breached security by jumping over an airport
fence at the Miami airport, and was arrested shortly after.
