TSA deploys extra security at Houston airports

KHOU-TV Ch 11 (CBS), Houston (TX)

Security will be beefed up at six cities across the United States, including Houston, during the Fourth of July holidays.

According to the TSA, the "VIPER" teams will consist of K-9s, air marshals, transportation inspectors and sometimes technology.

They are being put in place because of elevated security concerns and due to the higher numbers of passengers using mass transit during the holiday.
