LAX Terminal Evacuated After Mortar Shells Found
Inert Round, No Explosives Found
The Los Angeles (CA) Times
LOS ANGELES, - The upper level of Terminal 2 at Los Angeles International
Airport has been evacuated after police say mortar shells were found at a
security checkpoint.
A police spokesman says an LAPD bomb squad responded to the scene around
9:40 p.m. Officers determined it was an inert round and no explosives were
found.
Police say there were no arrests.
Authorities are still investigating and it's not known when the terminal
will reopen.
