New airport manager
By Chad Douglas
KHQA-TV Ch 7 (CBS), Quincy (IL)
There's a new person at the helm of the Quincy Regional Airport.
Marty Stegeman will take over duties June first.
Stegeman is new to aviation, but spent many years in private and public law
enforcement.
He spent eleven years with the Quincy Police Department and the last seven
years, he's been the director of Safety and Security of Quincy University.
"There's certainly enough security and concerns at an airport that's going
to keep me involved in the security and safety issues I've been involved
with my entire career. There's a challenge there and I like challenges,"
says Stegeman.
Stegeman says he's coming in to a solid program, so his first item of
interest is to acclimate himself with all the FAA rules.
Then he wants to publicize Quincy Regional Airport provides reliable
service.
