Airport warns cabbies: No more peeing
United Press International
EDINBURGH, (UPI) -- Scotland's Edinburgh Airport says it will ban cabdrivers
who are caught urinating in the bushes near the airport's entrance.
Airport operator BAA said that despite the proximity of public toilets,
cabbies have been caught on CCTV doing their business in the bushes, The
Scotsman reported Tuesday. The operator posted signs warning the drivers
that they will not be allowed back on the premises if they are caught
relieving themselves in unsanctioned areas.
BAA said it has received numerous complaints, backed up by the camera
footage, of cabbies urinating in the bushes and sometimes on the road
between cabs. Drivers at the airport say the phenomenon is perplexing given
the presence of public toilets only yards from the bushes.
