Decision postponed on airport parking contract
The Los Angeles (CA) Times

The Board of Airport Commissioners on Monday postponed a decision to award a
multimillion-dollar parking contract so it can review complaints from
competing bidders.

The contract, worth about $122 million over five years, is to manage public
parking facilities at Los Angeles International and Van Nuys airports.

A staff report recommended New South Parking, the lowest bidder.

Other bidders, including Classic Parking and Five Star Parking, submitted
letters of protest.

The board hopes to take up the contract again at its April 16 meeting.
