AFX News

SYDNEY (XFN-ASIA) - Macquarie Airports (MAp) said it has completed the 663
mln aud purchase of a further 15.1 pct stake in Sydney Airport, taking its
ownership to 70.9 pct.

The Macquarie Bank unit announced on Feb 27 it would exercise a call option
over Ferrovial Infrastructure SA's 20.9 pct stake in the nation's largest
airport.

With other investors exercising their pre-emptive rights, MAp ended up
netting an extra 15.1pct.

MAp also said traffic increased year-on-year at most of its airports in
February.

At Sydney, it said traffic increased by 7 pct and at the majority owned
Brussels and Copenhagen airports, traffic rose by 2.3 pct and 0.6 pct
respectively from the same month a year earlier.

At Rome Airport, 34.2 pct owned by MAp, traffic growth was 7.8 pct.

Traffic at the two UK airports in which MAp has minority stakes, the
Birmingham and Bristol airports, declined by 3.0 pct and 3.6 pct
respectively in February year-on-year.
