New TSA Strategy Involves 'Key' Airports
Affected Airports Not Named
WKMG-TV Ch 6 (CBS), Orlando (FL)

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Local 6 News has learned that Transportation Security
Administration spokesman Chris White is in Florida on Monday, a day before
he will announce a new security strategy for select airports across the
country.

White said that the new strategy was already being planned prior to the
alleged weapons- and drug-smuggling incident at Orlando International
Airport last week.

White was at Tampa International Airport Monday morning, and Local 6 News
has learned that he will be in Orlando to meet with reporters at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday.

In an exclusive interview with Local 6 News reporter Mike Holfeld, White
said "(the TSA is) not announcing a nationwide shake-up of security."

White wouldn't name the "key" airports involved in the security changes, but
Holfeld reported that the fact that he is in Tampa on Monday and expected to
be at OIA on Tuesday makes it clear that Florida airports are on the short
list.

White said some passengers and employees may already notice the changes.
