KPVI-TV Ch 6 (NBC), Pocatello (ID)
Idaho Falls received applicants from all over the country for the new
airport manager, but it found what it was looking for right here in eastern
Idaho.
At the city council meeting Thursday night, Len Nelson, formerly of the
Pocatello Airport, was officially appointed as the new manager.
The city council says that more than fifty applications for the job is
unheard of in the aviation industry.
Councilman Thomas Hally, Idaho Falls: "We had them from all over the
country, from the east coast, southeast part of the country, we had it from
all over, we contacted references -- FAA people, professionals in the field,
airlines people, they all felt really comfortable with the decision."
