DIA topples another record
The Denver (CO) Business Journal
Denver International Airport in October set a record for passenger traffic
for the 18th straight month with a total of 3.95 million travelers using the
airport.
That record was a 12.2 percent increase over the 3.5 million travelers who
passed through the airport in October 2005.
DIA is on track to set a record for passenger traffic of 48 million
passengers in 2006, topping the 43.4 million travelers in 2005.
United Airlines traffic grabbed 36.8 percent of the market share at DIA in
October while Frontier Airlines reported more than 19 percent of the market
share that month.
Southwest Airlines obtained more than 4 percent of the market share in
October -- its 10th month of operation at DIA.
