The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority Turns Up Music City's Volume
Welcoming the Arrival of the SE Chapter of American Association of Airport
Executives

NASHVILLE, TN. - The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA),
Nashville International Airport (BNA) and the Loew's Vanderbilt Plaza, will
play hosts, as this Tennessee trio rolls out the red carpet, to welcome the
arrival of the South East Chapter of the American Association of Airport
Executives (SEC AAAE) to Music City. The southern gateway will serve as the
scenic backdrop for their annual conference, being held on May 21-23. This
year's conference theme is "TURN IT UP! Breaking the SOUND BARRIER".
The SEC AAAE is an organization of airport executives, comprised of over 450
members from 12 states, the
District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Their primary mission is
to determine, implement and promote a Code of
Ethics for the members of the airport management profession and to further
promote airport safety and operational
efficiency by encouraging the development and application of modern
techniques to airport management.
The Honorable Bill Purcell will deliver a welcome address on Monday at noon
in the Loew's Symphony Ballroom,
greeting the attendees on behalf of the "friendliest and smartest city" and
the MNAA's Board of Commissioners, of which he
is a member.
"The Authority and Nashville International Airport are thrilled to be
hosting the 450+ members of the SEC AAAE",
said Raul Regalado, President and CEO of the MNAA. "We as Nashvillians are
blessed to live in the vibrant and thriving
mid-South and it is always a pleasure to showcase the versatile and
phenomenal Music City."
In addition to pertinent conference breakout session topics such as disaster
preparedness and alternative energies,
the MNAA has planned an event filled agenda spotlighting alluring
attractions noteworthy of the "Athens of the South",
including a guided tour of the Frist Center for Visual Arts, shopping at
Opry Mills and "A Grand Ole Event", sponsored by the MNAA and held at the
historic Ryman Auditorium.
The MNAA was established in 1970 and owns and operates the Nashville
International and John C. Tune General
Aviation Airports.
