OIA now 12th-busiest airport in the country
The Orlando (FL) Business Journal

Orlando International Airport's passenger traffic growth for 2005 was 8.36
percent -- nearly double the 4.3 percent growth at North American airports
in general -- making the facility the 12th busiest in the country.

The airport, which had 34.1 million passengers come through in 2005, is also
now the 21st busiest in the world, according to a new report from Airports
Council International. In the previous 2004 ranking, the airport was 14th
busiest nationally and 24th busiest in the world.

For March, the airport had 3.3 million passengers go through the facility,
which was a tiny decline -- 0.27 percent -- compared with the numbers posted
a year ago.

Total flight operations at Orlando Executive Airport increased 16 percent
over the prior year.
