Delta Terminal at LaGuardia Evacuated After Man Fled Without Shoes
The Associated Press
A Delta Air Lines terminal at LaGuardia Airport was partially evacuated
Friday after a man fled a security checkpoint without his shoes, the
Transportation Security Administration said.
Authorities were searching for the man, who ran from the screening area
while undergoing a security check, TSA spokeswoman Anne Davis said.
Outgoing flights at Delta's terminal D were immediately halted. About an
hour later, authorities evacuated the secure area of the terminal beyond the
checkpoints while searching for the man.
Incoming flights were allowed to land and passengers to disembark.
