Philly Airport Security Head Suspect In NYC Terror Leak
WCAU-TV Ch 10 (NBC), Philadelphia (PA)
PHILADELPHIA -- The federal director of security at Philadelphia
International Airport is being investigated for allegedly tipping off family
and friends about a terror alert for New York City subways two weeks ago.
William Ross is one of two federal employees suspected of tipping off family
and friends about the New York City terror alert. Homeland Security
officials said that Ross told his son not to ride the New York City subways,
based on confidential information.
Ross' son is accused of e-mailing several friends about the alleged threat,
which officials said eventually led to the heightened security.
The Department of Homeland Security has suspended Ross' security clearance.
