Bomb Scare Over; Airport Terminal Reopened
WLWT-TV Ch 5 (NBC), Cincinnati (OH)

HEBRON, Ky. -- A terminal at the Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky
Airport is open again after a bomb scare Tuesday afternoon, News 5's
Juliette Vara reported.

Terminal 3, which serves Delta Airlines, was evacuated while officials
investigated a suspicious scent that trained dogs picked up in a baggage
claim area.

The dogs were conducting a random search when they smelled an explosive of
some sort in a black over-shoulder bag.

Officials did not report finding any type of explosive device, but the bag
was loaded into a bomb squad trailer and then taken to an open field to be
exploded.

The bag was holding some newspapers and a laptop computer, officials said,
and it's unclear what prompted the dogs to identify the bag as suspicious.
