Belgrade postpones discussion of ordinance for subdivisions near airport
The Bozeman (MT) Daily Chronicle

The Belgrade City Council on Monday tabled discussion of a new ordinance
that would be imposed on all subdivisions within five miles of the Gallatin
Field airport.

The council did so in order to make sure Gallatin County officials adopted a
similar ordinance, Belgrade City Manager Joe Menicucci said.

The measure, called an "avigation easement," is designed to inform
homeowners near the airport of the noise and traffic inherent in operating
an airport.

It is also supposed to put homeowners on notice that they are not to
interfere in the airport's operations.

Subdivisions within Belgrade's city limits and in the county would be
affected.
