BWI Standing By For Any New Security Directives
WJZ-TV Ch 13 (CBS), Baltimore (MD)

Linthicum, MD. (WJZ) A spokesman at Baltimore-Washington International
Airport says the airport will closely adhere to any new security directives
that result from the transit bombings in London.

But spokesman Jonathan Dean says the airport always operates at a very high
level of security. He says there are always a number of procedures in place
-- including some that are not visible to the public.

And Dean says B-W-I will be in close contact with the governor's office,
homeland security and other state agencies.

Meanwhile, Maryland Transportation Authority Police say they are stepping up
security around the airport with more officers than usual. And the agency
says it is being highly visible.

For Maryland residents who have loved ones in the London area and want to
find out more on their conditons, contact the State Department of
Transportation by calling 1-888-407-4747 or by logging onto the website
www.travel.state.gov to see if your friends or family have been affected by
this tragedy.
