Mexican airports to spend 90 M to improve security

MEXICO CITY, (Agencia EFE) --Mexican airports will invest $ 1,000 M (US$ 90
M) in order to install a new security device which allows to controll
dangerous objects in luggage. This system will start working this year and
all airports, state and private, are forced to adopt it, informed the
director of Civil Aeronautic, Gilberto López Meyer. This measures obey to
the new requirements announced by the United Nations through the
International Civil Aviation Organisation (OASCI), and will be in place
beginning January 1st, 2006.
