Man at Miami airport charged after gun found in bag

A man was arrested and released at Miami International Airport on Sunday
night after security screeners discovered a loaded gun in his baggage.

Lauren Gail Stover, a spokeswoman for the federal Transportation Safety
Administration, said screeners discovered the weapon while checking luggage
at Concourse G.

Miami-Dade County police responded to the incident, Stover said.

NBC 6 reported that the man, who had a permit for the weapon, was charged
with a misdemeanor and released pending an appearance in court.
