French airports reform bill delayed
(Le debat a l'Assemblee sur ADP reporte au 10 mars)
France - Le Figaro

Today's debate by the French national assembly on a bill to change the way
in which France's airports are run has been postponed until March 10, owing
to the extra parliamentary time needed to discuss proposed legislation to
reform the 35-hour working week. The airports bill, which would turn the
Paris airports operator Aeroports de Paris (ADP) into a state-owned limited
company with a view to its partial privatisation, was passed by the French
upper house, the senate, in November.

The French industry minister, Patrick Devedjian, and his transport
counterpart, Francois Goulard, disagree on whether ADP's partial
privatisation is likely to be delayed by the enquiry which is currently
being conducted into the collapse of a passenger walkway in Terminal 2E at
Paris Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport last May. ADP's capital was to have
opened up to private investors before the end of this year.
