Airport security better than that in US: Patel
BY BISHESHWAR MISHRA
The Times of India

NEW DELHI - Civil aviation minister Praful Patel has said that security
provided by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to 47 Indian
airports is even better than the security at US airports.

During a passenger feedback session at the CISF headquarters here on
Thursday, the minister said security at Indian airports was "more
professional and yet personalised" compared to the chaotic and impersonal
security checks that passengers were subjected to at US airports.

"If you see the US airports now after the 9/11 incident... there's chaos at
the security lines there. The queues are more than 100 metres long," Patel
said. He complimented the CISF for providing good security with "no major
lapses" in the past five years.
