"Passengers up 31% at Hungarian Airport in November"

Passengers up 31pc yr/yr at Ferihegy Airport in November

Budapest, - In November last year some 504,000 passengers used Budapest's
Ferihegy Airport, 31pc more than a year before, the airport operator
Budapest Airport told MTI.

Nearly 35,400 of them were transit passengers, down 5.9pc from the November
2003 figure.

The number of passengers arriving or leaving on board a low-cost carrier
rose from 17,000 to 150,000. Up until late November Ferihegy Airport
reported 836,000 discount airline passengers, up from 68,000 in the same
period of the previous year.

In November the airport handled 7,021 tonnes of air cargo, 51.8pc more than
a year before.
