South African firm wins Dubai airport extension contract

A South African construction firm has announced it won a USD1bn contract as
part of the USD4.1bn Dubai International Airport expansion project, local
Khaleej Times daily reported Tuesday (21 December).

Murray Roberts (M R) and its Japanese joint venture partner Takenaka will
work on Terminal 3, concourse 2 and a car park at Dubai International
Airport. The construction work is scheduled for completion by 2006, reports
Xinhua.
