De-icing truck kills Mass. airport worker

BOSTON -- A Delta Air Lines worker was struck and killed by a de-icing truck
Tuesday at Logan Airport.
The 44-year-old man was walking on the tarmac around daybreak when he
stepped into the path of a truck used to remove ice from aircraft,
authorities said.
The truck was driven by another Delta employee who had worked with the man
for several years, said David Procopio, a spokesman for the district
attorney's office.
No immediate charges were filed.
"At this point, all the evidence points to this being a horrible, horrible
accident," Procopio said.
The driver was hospitalized with stress-related symptoms, Procopio said.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
