Baghdad Airport to Open on Monday

The government plans to reopen Baghdad International Airport to civilian
flights Monday, the office of Prime Minister Ayad Allawi said.
The airport was closed for 48 hours under a state of emergency announced
November 7 and the extension has been repeatedly extended.
However, it appeared the decision was taken to reopen the airport because of
the winding down of fighting in Fallujah.
