Airport terminal wins design award
The Record
Waterloo Region's international airport has been honoured by airport
managers for the design of its new passenger terminal.
The $5-million terminal, completed last year, hosts regular passenger
flights to Detroit, Ottawa and Montreal, on two carriers.
The Innovation Award won by the airport was handed out by the Airport
Management Conference of Ontario, representing 60 airports.
The organization cites, among other attributes, the inviting, original
design of the terminal and also its innovative security provisions.
