Two held over security breach at airport

TWO women have been remanded to appear at Shannon District Court on November
18 in connection with a breach of security at Shannon Airport.
Elaine O'Sullivan (36), from Walkinstown Road, Dublin, and Zelda Jeffers
(57) from South View, Ballinlough Road, Cork, appeared at a special sitting
of Ennis District Court before Judge Joseph Mangan last night.
They were charged with one count of breaching airport byelaws under the Air
Navigation Transport Amendment Act at Shannon early yesterday and were
remanded on bail of 100, on condition that they not go within five miles of
the airport.
The two women, believed to have been wearing Muslim burkha-type clothes when
arrested at 6.30am, are thought to be members of the Catholic Workers'
movement.
