Eulen wins Mexico City airport contract
SPAIN - EL PAIS
Spanish security services firm Eulen has won a contract to provide security
services in Mexico DF airport, in Mexico City. The company has also been
awarded a security contract by US carrier Delta Airlines at an airport in
Santo Domingo, on top of the security services it already provides at that
airport for Spanish airlines Iberia and Air Europa and US rival American
Airlines.
Eulen intends to hire 500 security staff for its contract in Mexico DF
airport, which sees passenger traffic of 22 million people per year. The
company, which is targeting Latin America and Portugal as its priority areas
for growth, also provides security for freight trains. Eulen posted 753m
euros of turnover in 2003, up 3.6 per cent, with growth of 8 per cent
forecast for this year.
