Northern Iraqi airport to be opened in February

Al-Sulaymaniyah, Flights to and from Al-Sulaymaniyah airport in northern
Iraq will be operated in February, said an Iraqi Transport Ministry official
on Tuesday.
Work at the second part of the airport will be finalized before February
then the airport will be opened, Delshad Nouri said.
He said 34m dollars were allocated to the project, stressing that the local
Al-Sulaymaniyah government shouldered all the cost.
Nouri said the airport was built by a Turkish company in cooperation with
Kurdish engineers.
