Robbery at JFK
Newsday (NY)


A gun-wielding robber tied up an employee inside a JFK Airport restaurant
late Sunday night and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

According to Port Authority police, the alleged robber entered the Deep Blue
restaurant at JetBlue's terminal six shortly before midnight and tied up an
employee with a telephone cord inside the eatery's safe room.

The restaurant is on the second floor in a secure area, where only ticketed
passengers who have passed through security screening are allowed.

The employee who was tied up was not injured but was taken to an area
hospital.

The Port Authority is continuing to investigate the incident.
