Athens airport bracing itself for mass exodus

Athens airport is bracing itself for a mass exodus of Olympics visitors
next week which will see departures hit unprecedented levels, the
airport said on Tuesday.
"At the peak period of August 29-31 airport traffic is expected to break
all precedents," the airport said in a news release.
On August 30, the day after the Olympics closing ceremony, there will be
878 departures and arrivals from Eleftherios Venizelos airport, it said.
To facilitate travel, only airport ticket holders will be allowed into
the departure terminals and no earlier than three hours before their
flight, the airport said.
